For auld lang syne

Dear Interwebs,

We're heading into a new year and I'm fully expecting you to make this year great. One of my goals for the new year is to focus on the present, rather than the past. So instead of telling you about last year, I'm getting my excitement ready for 2012. Don't get me wrong, Internet, 2011 was a good year for me in a number of ways. I am just hopeful that 2012 will be even better.

There is this great guy in my life and I'd like him to move back here. I'd like us to see where all this takes us. And Internet/Universe, let's make this all rainbows and kittens, shall we? I think he and I both deserve that. Fun, happy, easy and cuddly!

I'm a lucky girl. I am grateful for all the excitement and hilarity I've had so far. I'm looking forward to more. Hopefully in a little less than two months Simon will be here to visit, and he and I will talk to my dad about a long visit in Europe for me in the spring. I anticipate great things.

When I was in high school the being on my period during a big event or life change was always good luck. I'm on my period now as we go into the new year. I'm taking this as a sign, Internet. The Universe has my back this year. I'm so excited!
